Keep It short.A Story by Jess HoldenA short story."I kept my mouth shut, just like I promised." I whispered softly, as he ran his hand down my arm. "Good," he said, "we don't want anyone to know, now do we?" He asked, focusing his eyes on me. I felt a single tear run donw my face as I nodded my head in agreement. I couldn't say a word without another threat erupting from his vile mouth. So I sat there, as his hands gently made their way over my shoulder and around my waste. I closed my eyes as more tears began to fall down my face, as I felt his hands caress my body. Every touch felt like a million rusty needles, stabbing me over and over again. I felt his hand pull at my shirt, and I froze.
My mind flashed back to the last time he came, the last time I saw his face. "You're too weak, why bother?!" He screamed at me, ripping at my skin, leaving my arms and ribs bleeding and bruised. "No! Leave me alone!" I screamed, pushing and shoving him away from me. He barley moved, no matter how hard I shoved. "Don't! Just leave me alone!" I screamed, as I slowly felt him edge closer and closer to me. I closed my eyes and began to pray for a miracle, anything that would stop him.
Nothing did.
I opened my eyes, the tears now dried on my cheeks. "No," I said bravely. He stopped, and looked me in the eyes, his hands gripping me tighter. I winced at the pressure of his grip, but kept my face calm. "What do you mean 'no?'" he asked, a smile spreading across his face. "What are you going to do?" he laughed. I felt my eyes begin to water, but I held the tears back. "I'm going to do anything I can." I said, smiling alongside him. His grip became tighter, as my smile became wider. "B***h, you can only try." he said, hate filling his voice. My smile became wider, as I looked away from him. "I've changed in ways you're not going to like. I've grown a backbone now. I AM strong, and I CAN beat you." © 2011 Jess HoldenAuthor's Note
