Ashes.

A poem about my world falling apart.

Ashes to ashes,

Dust to dust,

Nothing but a lost soul,

With no one to trust.

 

A Somber hello,

A whisper goodbye,

A moment with regret,

That will never die.

 

An empty palm shakes,

The ashes scatter in the wind,

No one left to blame,

Everyone left in sin.

 

I lost them all to the fire,

Now all that’s left is ashes,

Ashes in the wind,

Ashes in the wind...
