Sleep.

Sleep.

A Poem by Jess Holden
"

Poem written one very sad night.

"

You look so calm,

Those tears dried upon your cheeks,

The sadness has left you,

Only to return with the morning sun.

You've fought through everything, with no bitching or moaning,

You've made it through everything, until your now grown.

You beg me to keep it away,

Never bring those memories back,

Keep them at bay,

But I can't say a thing,

All I can say is I'm here.

You wake up screaming,

Crying,

Your wondering why,

I keep asking what happened,

You cry and hug me,

Telling me its alright,

Go back to sleep,

Its alright now no worries.

I can't sleep,

Cuz all I can think about is you crying,

Your never alright so stop lying,

Stop making me have to swear,

Screamin at you here,

I can't stand this please,

Just be honest.

Give me a hug,

I can make you all better,

I can't take away that pain,

But I can show you how to continue on,

and make the past seem non existant.
