I AM AT WAR

 

I am at war

With all , with everything

Against night and day, 

Against light and dark

Against visions and reality

I am at war

There is no peace

There is nothing but a fleeting memory

There is only pain.. my  real friend

I know it will never leave me

 till the very end

I am at war

I fight it everyday

demons and angels

Devils and saints

They do not listen, they do not  care

They are mute statues

Heroes fading away

I am at war

But there was a day

Someone I saw, at a distance far away

Could this be salvation, could this be hope

Could this be what i was yearning for

I am at war

With my past and my wrongs

To let go of what was

And embrace who I want to be

I am at war

But I fight no more.. 

My debt has been paid, a debt I no longer owe

No longer must I struggle, and no longer am i alone

Because though there is still a war…

There is Love..in victory i stand.. my battles already won.

I am at war...No More
