TornA Poem by J. A. PerkinsJust writing my thoughts
Two hearts torn apart by
the wedge of reason. Cursed by the pride of our changing minds. No longer blinded by infatuation. Desperation would rather be blind. (That doesn't make it right) But you believe the older folk and who am I to pilfer? Sure, your soul still rages - Afflicted by your -isms. While my ego says that I can save you, Survival tells me to mind my own. Depression tells me your better off And holds me accountable for your being alone. © 2018 J. A. PerkinsReviews
