The SongA Poem by J. A. PerkinsAs described
He staggered to the medline,
wept bitterly from his soul for words that he could never find to describe that gaping hole. Somewhere in the sands of time, a boy still plays at his father's feet where happiness didn't cost a dime And he danced to a different beat. But that was years ago - The song had ended much too fast. He refused the meds and walked real slow as he cradled his playful past. © 2018 J. A. Perkins |
