If only we too could danceA Poem by jerry atrixxA poem about distant admiration
Luminescence under the beauty of you
Bashful but, If only we too could dance Four arms askew and centered skin akimbo Effortless and drunk on endorphin’s equity A graceless smile upturned to everything If we too could dance Abide by my barefoot wild waltz Done, done , and done again Step one, two, then turn Show me the way to your delicate choreography One lesson more and I’ll make the curtain call Desperate, and yet I want to And by way of what fabulous gestures spawn Others watch as you lead as only you can do I’ll accept only you If we too could dance Show me the depth of your pool’s ripple I promise to not forget Then proudly pirouette Upon the coping of your smile Then as before lose my scope of things Spinning to and “I love you” fro Then lose your balance as it blends in with mine In consensual cool and with it my certainty too As you buoy like, Weak, wobble and bob Splashing through my conspiracy Sliding back into lust rooted lunacy and still There I am desperate over you Dancing feverishly and precariously upon your upturn virtue If only we too could take the chance If only we too could dance ©J.K.
