Right to Roam

Right to Roam

A Poem by Jeremy Wyatt

Catch her if you can
but do you need
to marr this beast
of grace and speed
no call to hurt or bother her
on the purple moor
left alone
the right to roam
then springtime calls her down
to run and box
and come so close
as playful as a clown
