We Saw you Founder

We Saw you Founder

A Poem by Jeremy Wyatt

We Saw you Founder

We saw your ship  founder
we heard your last call
we paused as she sang
and we saw her  head fall
her words steer our wings
and her songs we still sing
crying to her as we circle above
the wind in our wings remembers your love

part  three of the The birds Cried, I Cried to the birds trilogy of wee poems
