Hearts Were Laid Open

Hearts Were Laid Open

A Poem by Jeremy Wyatt

In my heart
and in my mind
look on in
and you will find
for what you'll see
only joy
that comes to me
when you look
when you speak
when you smile
you set me free

We both headed home as the sun headed down
back to our homes in the quiet old town
I think that tomorrow We'll come here once more
We might not have money but with your love I'm never poor

In my heart
and in my mind
look on in
and you will find
for what you'll see
only joy
that comes to me
when you look
when you speak
when you smile
you set me free
