Vulnerable

Vulnerable

A Poem by Nathaniel Fahey
"

I kinda wanted to do something with vulnerability and feeling safety in the arms of someone. That one person who can make all the fears and problems of your world vanish, with just a touch

"

“I don’t want to go”, I utter softly

“We don’t have to” she whispers- “We can just stay here forever and let the dust collect. The world will keep spinning”

Nathaniel!
This poem really rings out to me! I love poems that can say a lot through very little. And when the feeling is as simple and familiar as this, it gets harder to explain with fewer words :) I have felt this so strongly, this feeling of vulnerability and this urge to just shut myself away from the world (and then i think, I am losing out on page views, how dull and worldly ) but then, i guess what I mean is that everyone needs that feeling. If you dont have that one person, it becomes very tough. Its like Bono says "Let me take some of the punches, for you tonight" :) Thanks a lot for this lovely read.
