When we were kids...

We thought we would be free as adults.

That we would always be together.

But it was as kids that we were truly free.

If we could go back to where we started...

Ignoring society's definition of normality

What would have happened?

If we kept our promise?

Childhood love is never ment to be

When time goes by, one simply

Looks back nostalgically at thoes beautiful moments

Thats how I saw it

That was what I thought

I just want to find happiness...

This is so very true that it hurts me. The old wounds that may be in all of us, those childhood promises that were destined by adulthood to be broken, you've hit the mark on them quite well. How all of our kid forms think they can conquer the world, and then adulthood hits and love becomes more complex.

I'm sorry for rambling, but your poem is wonderful. It really get's me and my feelings riled up, in a good way. I very much liked how you were able to convey all of that in such a seemingly simple way. Great job is all I have left to write.
