Night

Night

A Poem by Jenny DelVecchio
"

Many poems describe night as a peaceful time, but there are still few that speak of the night's calm

"
A midnight calm
With a slivered moon
A sky with no stars
And a silent tune

The streets are empty
The candles burned down
The town has settled
Cloaked in nights gown

But piercing rays peak
The day starts anew
The peace sets to rest
With the night through

I really like this one. It makes me feel very calm, but the end is a little sad -- with the night having to end. The ending is always something sad. Very well written...
