This month's vent...

Between the lines
sign of the times
come up from behind
a mind
reading through the facade-
walking ever softly and odd;
this girl
Too young to know-
too old not to
Bigots by the mile
pass by in style
Fake faces,
empty spaces-
of a lie
Tellin' me it's okay,
the sun's out today-
so smile
Instinct is to run
what's done is done
history's already spun
its hateful web
War is now the answer
on the back burner-
cures for cancer
Aint there any other way?
'Cause
I won't shake the hand
of a devil in command
that goes on foreign land
preaching democracy
While they jack up the oil-
bury bodies in the soil-
amidst all the spoil-
and destruction

One to think about certainly.. Could do with one or two splits to make some stanzas to leave the reader less out of breathe but I like it!
