Goodbye

Goodbye

A Poem by Jenny Davis

Take it all away in a dream,
leave me be and let me fly

For I

Wish you well in all you do,
time does that to a soul

So behold

The true meaning of forgiveness,
not a passive sigh

Why

To increase pain is trivial,
unbecoming of true spirits

This gift it's...

Amazingly clear and white,
see it and smile someday

Wow what a powerful message in so few words. You conveyed so much here a call of independences and the unentanglement of something like a freeing of the soul to meet the heart in the purest of places. I really dug this. I loved the way it flowed and the way it worked itself together so seamlessly.

Great Job!!!!!!

Oops I missed another one...first of all I love the structure of this write...just the way it looked and flowed is wonderful...then of course to the writing itself...your last lines are just sublime and fitting considering what's been going on around here lately:

"Why

To increase pain is trivial,
unbecoming of true spirits

This gift it's...

Amazingly clear and white,
see it and smile someday"

Whether you wrote this about things here or not, they apply...why add pain to things...move and learn to smile...life is too short to waste on old wounds. Great write :)

I love how the form of this poem added to the flow. It's very relatable as well. It reminds me of how I feel once I've gained perspective on a relationship or situation, with the hopes that the other person involved can come to better understand it as well. I have to say 'thank you' for referring my poem to others as well. It means a lot to me.

Perfectly stated. It is the simple statements of truths which make the best works to me. Forgiveness is a gift we give ourselves, I've found. Anger eats at our hearts. When we forgive... all that's left is love. Thank you for this work. It woke me gently this morning with words to remember.

What a beautiful, light and airy feel there is to this. Nothing heavy in this but speaks in depth. Blessing an moving on doesn't have to be ugly and drama. Beautifully worded.
Blessings,
