Random Act Of Kindness

Random Act Of Kindness

A Poem by Jenny Davis

star.jpg star picture by jennysjunk

It's cold outside

but warm inside

my heart
filled with happiness

and sorrow

Happy for being alive

Sad for those who aren't

Whether it be in spirit

or body

Death is a sad state of affairs

and without the light of Christ,

not the fake lights of Christmas

not one soul can survive

It's not just this time of year

but all days

we should be happy

alive

thankful

but more importantly

mindful

of those who are gone

whether in flesh

or mind

Give them a reason to

live on

remember them

fondly

or give them a smile

This is a

random act of kindness

and doesn't cost a thing

Same wavelength my friend... I just posted my little "hello" note at the top of my screen and came to see if you had anything new... and behold!

You always say so much and I am moved and inspired by this. We cannot spread what we do not know and we cannot know what we have not been told.

We struggle in the Bear household so much with the balance between the meaning and the commercialism this time of year... it's hard to strike that balance. But we remember when we lay down to die, there are three boy cubs who will be there to carry on the tradition, or forsake it.

So we give while we live... and hope the seed planted outlives the sower.

Perfect... Bear

I agree 100% This is something I try to live by Daily. I fail at times and have to Pray for help some day to stay
positive and touch peoples lives in a positive way. My testimony to Gods love for me is to show what He has done in my life. I try to reach out to those in need the hope and Blessing God has blessed me with. This is a wonderful piece, Great write and message.

That is all it takes and it saddens many because it is so simple but seems unattainable. The words about spirit and body are compelling. It makes me think that you are also including those with battles beyond the body. True inspirational writing.

This is a beautiful sentiment. Random acts of kindness are the best and most efficient way to spread joy and love to those who need to feel of that positive and kind energy. Thank you for reminding me.

This can work even if you aren't Christian...I mean, it's all about faith anyways...right? But I think that there should be more random acts of kindness through out the year...not just in two weeks in December.

You have a great message Jenny....
