God's Picture Show

God's Picture Show

A Poem by Jenny Davis

God has more stars than Hollywood,
His stars are brighter than any bleach blonde
glaring into your life.

These stars don't judge or change you,
they don't care what label your clothes are,
the stars are there for free.

Aurora makes her cameo every now and then,
lowering her many colorful strands of hair
and songs that even Dolby couldn't master.

Sure, there are stars in the movies,
but they pale in comparison to the naturals,
produced by the best.

Very nice reminder of the wonder of the universe; far more beautiful than any illusions we might "can" and ship out for mass consumption. Often, we forget to enjoy and be amazed by the delicate music of the universe; we get so wrapped up in ourselves. Lovely write, my friend. Rob

everything is changing, society is changing, we are incorporated in this circus of vanity, demolition of freedom in the name of capitalism, that's what we are and where we are; unfortunately, I didn't see anything else what works better when I stay here, o yes, there are nice forms all those natives but who dares to go there and change his life? not many. Well done sweetie Jenny, you say we should listen to our spiritual part in our chest and go for inner values the own individual way. Individualism is fading away. How would it be possible to buy all those goods we don't need? well done Jenny, I like your thoughts very much.

Brava! Many cheers. I just love this. I am from LA, BTW. LOL Used to walk down Hollywood Blvd. all the time looking at the names of those stars... so I found this especially amusing. Great work.

This is wonderful, Jenny. Sometimes we need to be reminded where our priorities are. . .

I loved this and it's so true! We get wrapped up in society and tend to forget how beautiful all of Nature is. Great write.

I'm one of these people who blame the camera, or the picture taker for any bad pictures of me, but then I'm face with a cold stark truth. I have NEVER see a bad picture of nature. This was a beautiful piece that reminds me of the beauty of our world. Rain..
