Asunder

Asunder

A Poem by Jenny Davis

When our souls collided
how they created such a glow
of bursts and breaks;
lightning.

Stars exploding in the sky.

Winds like songs of yesterday
blow north, moving on,
quietly remembering;
Rain.

Pouring over hidden hearts.

It's what we up North call the "Aurora Bear-ealis" or the Northern Lights.
I was transplanted there after an unfortunate incident with some campers and a picnic basket, but I don't wanna go there right now (that's one Boo-Boo I'd like to forget).

Two hearts of such a kindred spirit that nature itself seems to get involved in the festivities. "Winds like songs of yesterday blow north, moving on... quietly remembering; Rain."

Then to see that kind of love gone.

You're somethin' else, you know? Quite the poet.

first off, I love the word "asunder" it's such an awesome word...you can feel an echo in the air of this piece....as if the words reverberate off the clouds, inducing raindrop memories. For some reason I get a sense of playing in a rainshower here...hmm...

enjoyable piece. thanks for sharing!

The fading away of something so deeply intense. It leaves sweet memories that can only fade if we let them. I think that this is beautiful. Lovely, lovely job.

I probably don't understand this one (as usual) but I see the two parts in this as very distinct from each other - two meeting and then slowly falling apart - the rain being tears poured 'over hidden hearts'. I await your telling me how wrong I am - again!

This is beautiful...so little said...so much emotion packed in there tight...I love the peacefulness of it though...not one ounce of bitterness over losing something that doesn't happen very often at all in this world...

You've nailed it with this one Jenny; simply put ten out of ten! Structure, flow, emotionally and flawlessly exquisite, penned by a professional heart.

Need I say no more! Added to my favourites list.
