Friend...

Friend...

A Poem by Jenny Davis

Friend, relax, sit on my shoulders awhile,
outline geese's V shaped unity with your finger...

Count all the raindrops that fall today,
save some for tasting on a sunny day.

Breathe the winds of change inside,
see the coming and going of tides.

For today is just one pebble in the sand,
and tomorrow is for sea shells smiling there...

Aww, nice Poem. I like the simplicity and the relaxing invitation to a friend. All too often we don't stop to smell the roses and this is what your poem felt like to me, like stopping and remembering the simpler things in life.

Very cool writing.

Also, I want to thank you for taking the time to stop by my poem "complacent woman" - I appreciate your kind thoughts and words.

Hey Jenny, this is a nice ode to a friend. Lithe piece. Hopeful. Relaxing. I like the couplet format which also adds to the feel this is about two friends talking and sharing. Nice.
