Her Master Pieces

Her Master Pieces

A Poem by Jenny Davis

Inside a painting she walks,
many colors gracing her feet,
many hues surrounding.

Red, green, yellow, blue...
Swishes, swirls, smears...
Of life!

Some strokes unkind-
many diluted with tears,
but inside a canvas she's free;

To create, again and again.

To immerse oneself so much in art that it becomes a part of us... that is how we truly create.
I believe time and again humans have disappeared inside the alternate reality of words and music; paint and canvas, only to emerge the victor over inner struggles.

Art is God's gift to the restless, hopeless heart and the promise that we can survive. And you, my friend, are an artist.

hello Jenny, this is such a gorgeous, dream-like-poem about dream in dream, how have I didn't see it? To write or paint is healing and a gift to oneself and the others....this is a great game of your immense creativity. love you.

Painting is the perception and representation of visual intensity with every point in space reflecting different intensity; black and white and all the gray shades between, with colour representing symbolic shapes.

The metaphorical use of this ideology is beautifully portrayed with intensity and vibrancy throughout this composition. An excellent and creative piece.

Top marks!

a sense of wonder and awe is what is reflected in this work.....the moving pictures we seek.....dancing among the hues of creativity and the sheer enjoyment of beating hearts .....something beautiful..... in our headlights. Great write.

Pretty powerful piece with several layers of meaning, particularly accompanied with a canvas showing the birth of stars, cloud nebulae rising. Who is she that walks free inside the canvas, shaping her own dreams? The juxtaposition of being subject/object simultaneously is fascinating, for the canvas is she as she is at once forming the canvas, and she is the viewer and the viewed. But within this canvas is life and freedom. Eternal. Well done. Cheers! Rob

Such is the painter's life. This could be the very reason Van Gough decided to burn his ear off...who knows..but I do that it is far from uncommon to be a tormented artist.
When I read the first stanza, Boy George popped to mind...That crazy man.....
But you're right...with a clean slate...everyone is free to be...
