Beautiful, Lovely

Beautiful, Lovely

A Poem by Jenny Davis

How beautiful the sight,
the sun,
peering through my blue windows.
A delicate delight,
such fun,
chasing away the shadows.

How lovely the sound,
the moon,
dropping in on my day.
Just grazing the ground,
sweet tune,
singing my cares away.

I have to agree with Sue; the piece is delightful. But its Coldplay's Clock's delightful, not uhm... well... Katelyn Tarver's Wonderful Crazy delightful so... yes... I don't think that that's bad.

I'm a big fan of personifications so I'm sure you could understand the appeal of your piece to me. I find it endearing in a sense. It gives the piece a clever and afflicting power to converse with the writer as if the elements placed in the piece - the moon, the sun, etc - was theirs.

And for that, I commend you.

I didn't want the poem to be over. It was excellent. Thank you for sharing with me. I have to say this is the very favorite of my genre...I love nature poems and mingled with romance and peace is awesome! Take care.

Your unique choice in rhyme scheme is very impressive. The ideas put behind them are even more so.

Personify, personify personify!

Make me feel at home with the moon and the sun... I am not by any stretch of the imagination an environmentalist and you make me want to hold onto creation like a long-lost friend.

Gotta go... I hear the moon singing my name!

Jenny..
I don't over analize, or over complicate. A writer writes a piece, they hope you get something from it.. It's like trying to analize Dylan's "Subterranian Love Sick Blues"..it can't be done. You either feel it and like it, or not. I did feel it. I did like it. Rain..

This is refreshing; a delightful expression of poetising the natures of both our sun and moon.

Excellent creative composition, with first-class structured stanzas.

Well done!
