Beautiful, Lovely

Beautiful, Lovely

A Poem by Jenny Davis

How beautiful the sight,
the sun,
peering through my blue windows.
A delicate delight,
such fun,
chasing away the shadows.

How lovely the sound,
the moon,
dropping in on my day.
Just grazing the ground,
sweet tune,
singing my cares away.

I have to agree with Sue; the piece is delightful. But its Coldplay's Clock's delightful, not uhm... well... Katelyn Tarver's Wonderful Crazy delightful so... yes... I don't think that that's bad.

I'm a big fan of personifications so I'm sure you could understand the appeal of your piece to me. I find it endearing in a sense. It gives the piece a clever and afflicting power to converse with the writer as if the elements placed in the piece - the moon, the sun, etc - was theirs.

And for that, I commend you.

This work is so peaceful. I just love it. The pictures really add to the beauty as well. Fine choices.

Hey, that's nice.

Question: I can add photos to my writing, like this? Cool.

Have fun.

Okay how the heck did I miss this the first time around? This is beautifully written and perfect verse here. I love your subtle use of rhyme (some around here could take lessons from you) and also the way the poem is split to denote the change of time and feelings. Another favorite for my list. :)

like the playful rhyming, coolerdige like , nature poem, and how this piece personifies nature on a grander level without having the clouds talk.

Beautiful and lovely fit this piece. The wonders of the shining day and sacred night are intriguing. I like the personification given to both night and day, and the way that one stanza is devoted to each of the two major phases of our day.

Beautiful and lovely are two words I would use to describe this poem. Wonderfully written. Even the rhyme scheme was done perfectly. It is so subtle I didn't catch it until I re-read this piece. Once again, great job.
