Roused

Roused

A Poem by Jenny Davis

Roused

Floating down
past rocks of old

Floating up
towards trees of angels

No expectations
anticipations
salvations

Saluting high
the golden pecks of sun

Saluting low
the dark sighs of moon

Not weary
leery
dreary

Spinning wildly
over mountains of dull

Spinning deliberately
under horizons of repose

Never confined
defined
unkind

Seeing more
than stars of stagnant

Seeing you
like gales of August

What beauty in words..
This poem is so peaceful to me .. it makes me think peaceful thoughts.

No expectations
anticipations
salvations

Kind of like life.. you just go with the flow and do the best you can and be the best you can..
Now, i may have taken your poem in another direction than you.. i just get this feeling reading it. It seems to be about love and peace and defining beyond.. if this is beyond it is beautiful.

The last line.. 'Seeing you... like gales of August.'
What a beautiful line.

Such a divine loving piece.........with a lulling flow that captures till the end.......
I feel you are writing of love, but also could be a love of nature and our world.......
wonderful my friend.

And by "gals" I mean "gales."

I love the notion that the moon sighs and the comparison between gals of August and seeing "you." This poem unwinds at just the right speed... and settles in an appealing manner... in a word, "beautiful."

Much better choice of title, it has an ease in quality that the other title did not. I just read it aloud again, and starting with "Roused" sounds oh so much more velvet lol. Great Job on the piece Thanks----------------Danny---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

reminds me of leaves in the fall being carried by delicate caring winds, safety in solace. very peaceful poem, felt carried along with it.

In defining beyond, do we limit it? Just a thought. I loved the words. THey were wonderful, such movement and grace. I like the flow and the way it ends with "seeing you like gales of August." An excellent ending to a beautiful poem.
