Selfish?

am i being selfish?

I have one life.
I want you
to acknowledge that.
I want you to feel
my heart beat
when you hold me.

I want you to know
that it beats faster
when you do and
when I think of you.

I want you to be
in my dreams and
I want you
to sleep along with me.

My heart beats like crazy
when you smile at me.
When you gaze at me
the way you do.

There's no other feeling like that.
It keeps me going.
I just wanted you to know this. <3
I love you.

I like it. The stanzas are a little repetitive and it seems like just another love poem, but it has heart, and that is good. Well done.
