Finding a Feather

Finding a Feather

A Poem by JenniferMarie

Are there birds where you are
do they have names
do they land on your shoulder sometimes
or hop alongside you on a sunny day

do they have bright gold feathers
that rival the sun
and in the soft light of early morning
do you listen for them in the garden
do they sing you a song

Aww, I loved this poem but now that I see the dedication it's even that much sweeter.
Beauty and love shouldn't be complicated. I love the simplicity of your poem.
You say so much, so eloquently, with only a few well chosen words.
I truly and sincerely adore this.

Thanks so much bluely. I really appreciate your review.
So beautiful. My grandma passed away when I was nineteen, but I still have very fond memories of her and her beautiful, peaceful garden. I expect she's still listening to birdsong.

Beccy.

Thank you Ance. I really appreciate it. :)
This is a wonderful way to connect with your Grandma. It may so happen that the same birds
display their beautiful feathers and sing song in front of you at some time and do the same to your Grandma at other time.
Very lovely thoughts for a beloved Grandma.
Thank you Jennifer for sharing such a heartfelt work.
