An Afternoon Walk

An Afternoon Walk

A Poem by JenniferMarie
"

just a little free write.

"
I am telling you how much I love the winter,
soft falling snow
out a country home window.
We are laughing at nothing in particular
and you tell me what a jig is
and how you want to go fishing
but I can't listen
because the wind has caught your hair
and the sun is all over it
and your earnest eyes like a child
when you speak of Kingfish
You tell me we should get a bigger boat
and I, looking up at you,
can't stop thinking how much I love you.
