Twas the Night Before..

Twas the Night Before..

A Poem by Jennifer E. Morley

T’was the Night before Christmas

All Through the house,

Something was stirring

But it wisnae a mouse.

It creeped and it sneaked

It huffed and it cursed

A crunch and a bang, it

Ate the holiday ham.

A belch and a sigh,

It mumbled ‘och aye.’

It stumbled and shuffled

Before crashing down.

It T’was the Night Before Christmas

And there he snored,

My poor wee faether,

Passed out on the floor.

I love it! I was laughing so much at that twist ending that I must say: your comic delivery is brilliant!!! I love it! I look forwards for more poems like this!
