Pebble

Pebble

A Poem by Pure Hope

First steps of pebbles

Tiptoes? No!
Giant conquests are best,

mountains releasing avalanches.

Growing up teenage style

a series of wild rides,

from river bed down to the mouth of the sea

the path seems to be.

More and more eras pass,

pebble getting pretty smooth.

Roll along with some stronger waves

sporting a whole new look.

As if mirroring life itself

pebbles gain in age:

their unnecessary baggage removed,

their beauty is revealed to be

a true gem priceless to all.
