Although she's not with you..she's with you

For my sister on her wedding day. My mother passed away in 2009 so I felt the need to show her presence and let my sister know she will always be there.

"Although she's not with you on this special day,

And you cannot see her smile as dad hands you away

Although she may not be here to hug you ever so tight,

She is here in spirit with her halo shining bright

She's with you at this moment; she's dancing by your side,

Throwing around sunflowers and smiling with pride.

Although the voice she once sang with, we can no longer hear

I have no doubt that she's not singing along  with a tambourine and beer.

Today is the most important day of your life,

You're changing your name; you're becoming a wife

Do not fear for even think she is not around

You can feel her in the air. 

yes, of course, we cannot see her feet on the ground,

But her spirit is here and so overwhelmingly clear, 

No one ever said life would be easy, kind, or fair.

Although you can't see her, just keep in mind she is here watching while you dance and twirl.

Today, the day of your wedding; YOU are HER angel, you're mommy's little girl."
