RefurbishedA Poem by JennesisFor Texas...
Liquid resin warm and slick
Pours into cracks Of long weathered wood Filling holes unrecognized Known and unknown gaps Created out of years Just holding on Through the storms... Resin mixing and moving From surface to root To supplement fibers Of lives lived And love’s love Resin hardens... Building unbreakable connections Strengthening the wood Finding its own path Through openings and tight spaces Creating a new masterpiece That can stand alone Yet will not Resin familiar, yet new Plumps the intricate structure of the grain Changing, binding, seeing Sunlight shines in Catching resin with its rays Illuminating places It never could In the wood alone And just like that Beauty is present again Sensual and whole Reflecting passion, elation Joy A repurposed life A shared love © 2018 JennesisAuthor's Note
