Sunset StrangersA Poem by JennesisDriving away from the stress of the day The setting sun, brilliant in yellows, purples and pinks Beckoned me as it burned off the last remaining light The intense beauty of this display compelled my spirit to slow down, breathe, and give pause Normally eager to be home and stripped of my work attire Snuggled into comfy clothes, tonight... I listened To the pull, Gently veering over the car I stopped Marveling in the beauty of the moment Bathing in the gratitude of blessings I noticed Joining in my pause were eight other people who stopped too Taking in the brilliant beauty of today's end My heart swelled as we silently shared this moment Allowing the sky's colors to fill us each up Somehow, in some way. As the colors slowly faded Dusk gently kissing the sky One by one the cars peeled away Each of us going our respective ways... I am reminded That beauty truly is everywhere~ In the simple moments of Eight strangers joined together Witnessing the passing of another day ~Jennesis2016 © 2016 JennesisReviews
