Grab On

Grab On

A Poem by Jennesis

Grab on

A fleeting glimpse
The pale blue light
Before Dawn
A shooting star
Faint gold across the sky
Just beyond focus

Time flying by
This life we live
Unable to slow down
Grasps slip on dreams
Slippery among the daily
Grind of life

So wish upon that star
Breathe vibrance into promises
Of simpler times
Clarity
Feet grounded firmly
Rooted in the earth

I really like your style Jennesis. Theres so much positivity in this one, the reader can't help but be affected in a good way. From the image of the little girl with the balloons to the colour of the font and font choice - all has been carefully considered for full effect.

"The pale blue light...Before Dawn"
"Grasps slip on dreams"
"Breathe vibrance into promises...Of simpler times" - these are the crowning glories of this poem that made me go 'ahhh' .

The imagery of the shooting star - you gave it such transience that I felt I was watching one. How many times do we catch them out of the corner of our eye then ask ourselves if we did or didn't see it?
I just really liked this poem. Thanks for posting it here. :))

Oh ANTO! Your words touched me! Thank you so much. and I love love love your new pic. :)
Every moment is ever fleeting, like the diminished light of a falling star. Your clarity provides much wisdom, Jenn...so, so true!
