Bitter Lies

He will know~

Lies spun like a web

Tangling happiness

A fly trapped

Unable to make wings

From the life she asked for

The flavored truth of me

Reflected in his eyes

A stranger

 I wonder who she is

The taste bitter on my tongue

 

Naked and exposed

No clothes to warm my secrets

Freezing snow bites my skin

Transparency failed

It’s goodbye again

 

A life played in fast forward

Unable to pause and wait for popcorn

The absence of him everywhere

The theater empty now

Searching for his passionate

Love of life…

Tears drown my joy

Obscuring the future

Unable to see

My way out of

This tangled web of lies…

Your life, absent of him, the theater is not empty. You are there. Everyone must act out their own lives. You are on stage, right now, in this poem. Where is your, valuable much more, Passionate Love of Life? Ah, that is what propelled you to write this poem. Well done.
