to GIVEA Poem by JennesisThe baby aisle in Target Pulls at the grief An empty womb A quiet lonliness Like a child alone in the park Wanting to be chosen to play With the rest of the cool kids The capacity of this heart Is infinite and vast So much mothering inside to GIVE Yet it lays wasted The doled out bits Pale in comparison to what is left inside to GIVE
And NO! f**k you very much Adoption is NOT the answer
Anger about the contract Years of fertility wasted
And then there was hope Desire and possibilities Opening Inside to GIVE LIFE From the no longer EMPTY Dreams of the womb © 2015 JennesisReviews
