Monday's BaggageA Poem by JennesisThe heaviness of Monday Weighs me down So many bags to carry The briefcase of unfinished weekend projects The gym bag stuffed with fitness goals The lunch sack holding economic nourishment The purse filled with everything but money and the kitchen sink And that’s just the baggage you can see.

A small feather whispers by my nose, And I am reminded that in my spirit On winged breath I am free
