Gone from the Future

reading through each and every line
wishing i could go back in time
go to a place where i'm truly happy
exchanging words nothing short of sappy

there's a time and a place
for a slap in the face
now seems like a good time
and here i write another line

holding each other up
through the good and the bad
keeping each other strong
when the other was sad

those days are now gone
and no matter how much i long
i've erased those times from my future
