Star Glow

Star Glow

A Poem by Jenna Kay

She floated weightlessly above her city
Her body made of gold and glitter
And through her metallic skin, a sun glowed from beneath
Bursting forth
And those who looked upon this yellow sunlit star, squinted their eyes so that they could see this body of sparkling gold
But even within the thousands of rays of light, of stardust, no warmth could be felt.
The air was calm, the sky was blue, and the tempurature... Unwavered
And so the girl floated, blinded by the light she emitted
And all she could see was an endless white room
In which she floated
Existing

Alone

I liked the imagery. Very descriptive poem.

Beautiful flow...just lovely imagery in a melonchaly tone...in the scheme of things...we do leave this world alone...a deeply profound ending. Nicely done.
