Lonely for...A Poem by Jenna Kay
The curve of my spine still remembers the feel of your tracing fingers
My thighs still recall the way they wrapped around your hips And my lips hold their memory of the incredible softness of your mouth The mouth that pressed against my neck, my breast, my colorbones, my thighs My eyes will forever keep a speck of your crystal clear blue within them Not much Just enough so I'll always be able to see you Even when I'm over you Do you know that I can't miss you? That I won't miss your voice, your smile, your touch, your eyes Your mind I mean, we just weren't right So I let you go on that night But is it okay to still miss something you don't want back? Now All I want to know is if you're lonely Because maybe then we'd feel the same I want you to kiss me again, but never tell me you want me I want you to run your fingers down the curve of my spine, but please, dear god, never say you love me I miss your presence, your hold, your hands, your comfort Simply... You But don't bring back the emotions I may just want what I know that I don't © 2016 Jenna Kay |
