![]() Sensitive SkinA Poem by Jenna Kay![]() You're currently on the other side of the world and this is really not helping![]()
Your fingertips felt like ice cubes running down the curve of my spine, and I melted right into you
You had been waiting far too long as you watched me ramble on, only thinking of how you wanted me in your arms So when you touched your lips to mine in a welcomed surprise, of course I had melted The softness of your kiss (so like your roses) carried me away to where trivial thoughts were unneeded, and my mind, if but for a few minutes, was yours I pulled you in close but I wanted you closer After all, a piece of you is already in my heart, and I felt it beating out of my chest as to be reunited with you Your breath harmonized with the sound of my dress zipper, and let me tell you, I have never heard such a beautiful noise Your hands turn every mundane act into artistry And as I revealed myself to you, I felt a most comforting exposer The warmth of your skin matched the warmth of my affection, and I felt every movement Like a dance, our bodies tangled in flawless unison Our skeletons intertwined, your rib cage opening to reveal heavy lungs and a pounding heart The look in your moon-lit eyes told me that you were within the stars and you never wanted to come back down to Earth So you decided to bring me into the cosmos with you I clung to you as if I were falling, grabbing hold of your arms, back, hair And when I saw the constellations, I understood You wanted me to see all of that beauty, and I never wanted you to close your eyes So I'm sorry that I'm not sorry, my love I just adore the way I look on your neck
