Cover my eyes from the light

From these small candles with square flames too bright

Protect me from the wind

That pushes and pulls and uncovers my sins

Mask the darkness within me

Which matches the wild surrounding the gleam

But unlike the night

I have no stars

The fire’s too high and burns all my scars

That fly from the glowing fear in my home as it crashes
