So You're LeavingA Poem by Jenna HardingSo you’re leaving I watch you pack your suitcase Silence. No words are said Not even goodbye. You don’t care though, Dry eyes speak volumes.
So you’re leaving I watch you walk away Empty. You never turn around though Not once. But deep inside I’m glad. I couldn’t bear for you to see me cry.
So you’re leaving I watch you climb into the taxi Blurry. Tears stream down my face Matching the rain on my window My heart is breaking inside, With no band aids to fix it.
So you’ve left me I’m picking up the pieces you shattered Slowly. Time will be my greatest healer. Thoughts of you are growing few and fleeting I’m pushing the remnants of you from my mind. I am stronger than you thought possible. © 2008 Jenna HardingReviews
