Solitude

Solitude

A Poem by Jenna Harding

                                   Solitude

Salt droplets travel the pane of her face,

Translucent like tinted glass.

If the eyes are windows to the soul then her blinds are drawn.

The river runs parallel, millions of molecules fused together

In their mutual quest for freedom, the ocean.

She longs to join them, to immerse herself

In their journey of self discovery,

But her feet can find no desire for movement.

Solitude can make you or break you,

And she lies in pieces on the bank.

dark... there's nothing for me to say, your words speak

"She longs to join them, to immerse herself
I n their journey of self discovery,
But her feet can find no desire for movement."

Exactly...
