Mistress Mine

Mistress Mine

A Poem by Jenna Harding

                                   Mistress Mine

Mistress mine with eyes so bright

You come to me in dreams.

You invade my subconscious

And make yourself at home.

Mistress mine with words so curt they splinter

And shatter my soul.

You pour the poison in the wound and let is fester deep.

Mistress mine with heart of ice

You care no the pain you cause.

You survey it with a swell of pride

And wait for the final breath.
