Broken Dreams

Broken Dreams

A Poem by Jenna Harding

                                    Broken Dreams

Collapsing, crumbling, crashing down around your ears.

Suggestions and words flung at you,

Water balloons catapulted from

Sling shot tongues.

You sink and drown under their weight

As they seep through your skin into your soul and subconscious,

Resurfacing to plague you in the

Dark.

The pressure builds, compressing and suffocating you.

Until you implode.

Nice one, Jen. I think everyone can relate to this in one way or another!

The crushing weight of sarrow can distroy even the strongest of hearts and can be overwelming. All this is felt by your readers in this short but effective poem. Well done.
