Starlight

Starlight

A Poem by Jenna Harding

                                  Starlight

Inky blackness blankets the world.

Tiny pinpricks of light,

Diamonds, sprinkled like fairy dust

Add decoration.

He stares up, dejected,

Soul shattered in one fell blow.

His loss seeps into the night,

Clawing at the sky with ragged fingers

As desperation turns to determination.

He will find her.
