Mary Kelly

Mary Kelly

A Poem by Jenna Harding

                                   Mary Kelly

Beautiful no longer.

Mirrors slice deep.

Red rivers run. Drip and pool.

Soak, stain.

Titian hair dyed darker.

Her face is a face no more.

Destroyed, horrifying precision.

Remorseless, satisfied, frenzied.

Anger apparent in our butcher's handiwork.

Lady of the night?

No one really cares what he did.
