Calm After the StormA Poem by Jenna HardingCalm After the Storm For once she couldn't see forever. Lived through it all, but could not weather This storm. Lightening, rain, excrutiating pain, Borne bravely to the end. The storm was long; rain pelted her Daily, month after month. Never ceasing. Never relenting. No peace, only torment. Then, one day, it stopped. Rain dried up, clouds lifted. Sun shone down, so bright, So warm on her skin. Her frail body welcomed it with open arms. She was free. © 2008 Jenna Harding |
