Visitations

Visitations

A Poem by Jenna Harding
"

Written the same day as 'Unrequited'. I was in a bit of a melancholy mood

"

                                    Visitations

Appiritions of those gone before

Surround me in my time of need.

They watch, unmoving, always silent,

As my soul begins to bleed.

Familiar faces that offer no smiles,

Just stand and stare at me.

If only they would offer a hand,

I could take it and be free.

I'd fly with them across the moon

And to some distant plane.

To reside there for all eternity

Escaping from this pain.

But no hands come to aid me,

None seem to hear my call.

I close my eyes, they fade to black

And I begin to fall.

I really loved this poem's brooding tone. You also have a small spelling error where it says "appirition". It is spelled apparition." All in all, this was a great poem and I want to read more of these poems. Interesting kind of words that you had selected too. I can see that you are a very eloquent person when it comes to words, due to your colorful turmoil of emotion that both persists and also consists of a very seemibly dark sadness within the depths of this troubled poem. Good read and I wish for you to always keep writing moreof your poems and stories sometime. Take care :)
