She's Gone

She's Gone

A Poem by Katannaism

Because you mistreated her;
Because you abused her;
Because you tainted her once pure heart;
And stained her once innocent mind;
Now she's gone.

Gone, quicker than the light;
Swifter than the wind...
More silent than cats paws on floors;
And left you colder than ice.

Because you did her wrong;
Because you gave her trouble;
You gave her nothing but tears.
You gave her nothing-When you took her against the heat of your bed.

But now she's gone.
Perfectly happy to be out of your grasp.
Free from your captivity.
Free from your prison.

You can abuse her no more.
Torture her no more.
Vile her no more.
Now she's gone.

And only you, that is left in your own dark hole.

You create the feeling of such darkness.. one who has been through great pain and the one who cut her so deeply... Makes the heart wish her wings so that she'll never be pulled down again...

This is pretty good! It's not bad. I love the deep meaning in this poem. It's true for a lot of women and sometimes it's hard to write on this topic. Very moving for me because I can somewhat relate yet.. it's not necessary my personal experience but what I've seen and felt. I love the escape at the end. Such inspiration! I love it.

This is great work!
Speaks volumes.
And a true story for a lot of women out there.
I like it.
