A Single Strength

They look down on the evils of abortion. 

Even without a shoulder to lean on;

They choose to breathe in new life. 

They push away cruelty. 

Of slashing away a new life. 

And with Samson's strength;

or maybe more-

They witness the family glow. 

Who said they couldn't be strong? 

Who said they would crumble? 

The ones who leave them;

are the cowards...

Who can't face the truth. 

And shy away from the magic glow. 

And after years of tending;

the life they've given-

Grows rapidly...

Beautifully. 

And they regret calling them an accident. 

A mistake with a stranger. 

But a sweet blessing. 

Though the memories still cloud the mind. 

But nothing can ever compare;

to the brightening smile...

That they would see every day. 

And a snicker;

when they think about handling the teen years.

They scrounge for money.

For food. 

To feed their beautiful blessing. 

No matter how hard... 

No matter how painful...

A mother never leaves her child alone. 

How strong single mothers are.

They carry all the burden on their back. 

Role of mother AND father. 

The strength they carry. 

The strength they own. 

They are truly wonderful. 

Witnessing the miracle. 

From mistake to blessing.
